Keep the shine.
Rhinestone practice wear holds up through real training if you treat it right. Here’s the short version — every product page also lists care instructions specific to that piece.
Washing
Turn the piece inside out and wash cold with like colors. Skip the fabric softener — it breaks down the compression fabric and dulls the stones over time.
Drying
Hang dry whenever possible. If you tumble dry, use low heat — high heat is the fastest way to loosen rhinestones and warp compression fabric.
Ironing
Never iron directly over rhinestones or foil prints. If a piece needs it, iron inside out on low heat, avoiding the embellished areas entirely.
Bleach & dry cleaning
Skip both. Bleach breaks down the stretch fabric and the rhinestone adhesive; dry cleaning solvents can do the same.
Storage
Store flat or on a padded hanger rather than folded for long stretches — sharp creases across a rhinestone panel are the most common way stones loosen between competitions.
A stone comes loose — now what?
It happens, especially with heavy wear. A small dot of clear fabric glue applied with a toothpick will reset most stones. For anything more than a few loose stones, contact us and we’ll help.
